Our core desire is for your home to be your favorite place to be. We help you get it to that level with rich design that is client-centered, beautiful and functional—and that will remain that way for years to come. We incorporate heirloom quality pieces that are beautifully current, but outlive trends.
With years of experience and completed projects of every size and style, we bring the expertise needed to navigate every design decision with confidence. Our clients rely on us to anticipate challenges, solve problems creatively, and deliver exceptional results. When you work with us, you can trust that every choice is intentional.
We work closely with our clients to understand how they live, what inspires them, and what their ideal home looks and feels like. Through clear, creative dialogue, we translate client’s dreams into thoughtfully designed spaces that reflect their personality and function well for everyone who lives in the home - kids & pups included!
We believe in creating spaces that are beautifully current but not trendy. Every piece we select, every material we specify, is chosen for its enduring quality and lasting beauty. Our approach focuses on classic proportions, custom craftsmanship, and heirloom-quality furnishings that improve with age rather than date with time.
Amanda Kessler is the Founder and Principal Designer of The Keeping Room Interiors in San Antonio, Texas. She creates meaningful spaces through custom details that tell each client's unique story—whether a hand-selected antique, bespoke upholstery, or carefully sourced textiles.
After earning her degree in International Finance and working in banking in Austin, Amanda transitioned to interior design in the early 2000s, working as a seamstress for established designers and creating nurseries for local boutiques. These experiences taught her that every detail matters and deepened her passion for helping people create spaces they love.
In 2014, she founded The Keeping Room Interiors, building a full-service design studio dedicated to timeless, personal spaces. In 2023, she expanded with Wildrose Studio, offering her fully custom heirloom-quality upholstery, drapery, and bedding.
When she's not in the studio, Amanda is spending time with her husband and three kids, snuggling her dogs, puzzling, attending bible study, cooking, traveling, or watching basketball.
Kim is a proud Texan who graduated from UNT with a degree in Fashion Merchandising before moving to Los Angeles to work for luxury brand Jenni Kayne. There, she mastered the art of behind-the-scenes coordination, creative problem-solving, and bringing beauty into every detail.
After returning to Texas, a career in software sales, getting married, and the birth of her two precious daughters, Kim felt called back to the creative world. She officially joined Amanda and The Keeping Room Interiors/Wildrose Studio in 2024, where she combines her love for beautiful design with thoughtful attention to each client and their home.
When she's not at the studio, Kim is spending time with her family, reading, or binging the latest Housewives season.
